Why Launch Another Newsletter?

This spring, I ventured into the social media world by setting up an account on RedNote (a popular Chinese social media platform), named Humanitech, inspired by a Steve Jobs quote. My goal was to share intriguing digital tech products.

Initially unfamiliar with RedNote’s norms, my first post unfortunately went unnoticed. Now, I understand its non-compliance with the platform’s rules, yet I’ve left it unedited, both as a time-stamped keepsake and a reminder of my beginnings. In just six months, I’m humbled by my achievement of garnering 112.8k likes and collects for my 25 posts on the platform.

One remarkable share was Michael Turvey’s Eternal Sunset. This website offers glimpses of sunsets from around the world – like watching Taipei 101’s neon dance in the rain, or Alaska’s Katmai National Park fade into twilight hues, These moments resonated deeply with me, echoing Steve Jobs’ words:

Technology alone is not enough. It’s technology married with the liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields the results that makes our hearts sing.

It’s sparked conversations, with many drawing parallels to “The Little Prince” and its small planet with 43 daily sunsets.

This experience sparked a thought: there are countless fascinating digital creations waiting to be discovered. But how long would it take for them to reach a wider audience without enthusiasts?

This question was the genesis of my Newsletter. A unique venture, this weekly edition engages with global developers and is available in bilingual formats (English and Chinese).

My aim? To spotlight brilliant apps and connect them with a broader audience.
